MY STORYI have spent my entire life navigating a complex criminal and immigration legal system that have defined who I am.
I have paired directly impacted narratives with thoughtful design and intentional digital media to push for major statewide victories in California that have led to free healthcare for young undocumented adults, the creation of state oversight in private detention facilities, and the banning of private prison detention facilities.
I have seen first-hand how compassionate narratives and intentional communication strategies can form strong foundations for transformative change. For that reason, I have focused my education and advocacy experience on becoming a skilled communicator. I have a proven history of creating and leading strong messaging and narrative strategies that ground conversations around immigration in values like resilience, support, and care.
